For fans of Jackass, welcome to the weird and painful world of the "Oh, Brother!" Team. Featuring misled youth like Old Man Raw Meat Face (aka Brian Hammons, webmaster of Review the World), DJ Kaotic, Crippled Serial Killer, Jesse Numbers, Didge Romeo, and more.

In this episode the boys go to out for an unconventional day at the woods. Watch as we tumble down hills, hit each other with logs, jump into all sorts of bush, get muddy, get wet, and of course, get hurt! This video is a trip down memory lane to 2002, when things were simpler, and we had a lot less scars!

<lj-embed id="41" />

More videos, articles, and misc. awesomeness:
http://www.reviewtheworld.com/

For the third consecutive year I’ve teamed up with the guys at Team Sandnut and we’ve produced our annual Halloween special. This year was a lot of fun, there’s stuff shot in downtown Indianapolis, all kinds of reviews and skits, and you know we keep it ghoulish! So, please, if you can find the time before Halloween this year, grab some cider and candy, wrap up in a blanket, and enjoy!:

Review the World - Halloween '09
(Length: 58:19 - File Size: 371MB)

For your convenience the video is also available in two separate pieces:
RtW - Halloween '09: Part #1
(Length: 32:35 - File Size: 210MB)
RtW - Halloween '09: Part #2
(Length: 26:03 - File Size: 162MB)

Hey everyone! I just wanted to post a couple quick notes before going to bed. Tomorrow morning is my first day back at school since my week of quarantine due to H1N1. I’m glad to be feeling better! Anyway, just got back from the city of Trenton, had a sneak peak at our upcoming Halloween video, which is debuting on the site this Friday, and it looked awesome! If you’re an RtW loyalist or just a Halloween enthusiast set aside at least an hour this upcoming weekend to watch our third annual tribute to all things creepy.

Also, a quick plug, if you didn’t already know, Brian’s Daily Picture made its triumphant return back on October 1. So, if you haven’t been checking out the daily dose of digital photography from yours truly, get caught up now!

Here’s a collection of some horrifying Review the World content from yesteryear—enjoy!:

- Toy: Creepy Classics - The Curse of the Werewolf - This is one of my all-time favorite pieces, one that actually called for outside research..

- Misc.: Boo Berry Lip Balm - I remember getting tons of feedback on this one when it originally debuted.
Hey! I just wanted to post a quick note regarding the return of Brian's Daily Picture. I've got a laptop, but unfortunately, all of my website-related stuff is done from our PC. We've been having this pesky problem where when you plug it into the wall, it may take ten minutes, it may take two hours, before it'll actually start powering up and be usable. The daily photos never have a set time for going up, I used to always do it sometime after midnight before bed, but nowadays, depending on this computer's ability to turn on, it could come at any point but I'll generally try to have the pictures up on the morning corresponding with their dates.

P.S. - On my way to get sushi a couple hours ago a detective pulled me over because I resembled a bank robber suspect.

Hey everyone! How goes it? It’s the first of the month. It’s definitely getting chillier here in Ohio. I must admit I’m already in the spooky spirit. We’ve got a couple Review the World updates today:

Brian’s Daily Picture is having its grand reopening today! Make sure to check it out, and daily, as I’ll be providing some handpicked pictures from my personal collection. I’m real stoked about this, lots of (in my opinion) awesome pictures to share, so check it out!

Our newest staff member Will has his debut article 2009 Halloween Wears and Where up! It’s a real fun piece where he travels around to a handful of local stores, examines their Halloween sections, then compares and contrasts leaving only one true macabre victor!

Lastly, for the first time in our nearly five year history, I won’t be creating a unique monthly logo for October ’09, instead, we’ll be cycling through a couple of our old ones because they encapsulate the autumnal spirit genuinely and I just can’t imaging topping them. So, keep an eye out, we’ll be revisiting at least two of my favorite horrifying logos of yesteryear this month!

Our next YouTube video should be up either late Thursday (tonight) or next week depending on my college workload and ability to stop watching bad cartoons. Be well!

Hey, it’s your boy, Brian, with a quick post. First, some Review the World news and whatnot. We’ve got a new member to our swank staff. Say hello everybody to Will! He’ll be joining the team and I’m looking forward to his contributions. Secondly, starting October 1st, Brian’s Daily Picture will be returning so mark your calendars, sundials, etc. Lastly, a couple new things that should be up within the next week or so, the debuting Thursday Night Takeout, an ongoing video series about Chinese restaurants, as well as the first new article of October. Looks like the holiday season is going to be a good one on RtW!

Moving onward, got our first ultrasound today:

It was one of the most amazing things I’ve experienced. We could see his or her heart beating so rapidly. I’m beyond thrilled and can’t wait to spoil this kid with Toys ‘R Us visits.

One more thing, my brother tipped me onto The Super Hero Squad Show, and I’m definitely recommending it to everybody. Its inspired by the adorable line of miniature action figures based off of Marvel comic book characters. I’m enjoying it so much because it’s pure fun. The animation is bright, its fast-moving and never dull, doesn’t take itself too seriously like a lot of comic adaptations, etc. They use a ton of characters from the Marvel mythology, too; so that’s a bonus for a longtime comic nerd like me. It’s as if the child version of me was sitting on my bedroom floor with all of my toys making epic adventures and they’re now being retold weekly on my HDTV. Check your local listings, and if you do, let me know what you think!

I’ve got a few things to touch on regarding my website Review the World.

First off, I just posted a brand new article

NBA Gummies

To celebrate the forthcoming start of the ’09-’10 NBA season I take a look at some fossilized gummy candies from 2006 that had been lying around my closet for over three years.

In other news, just some housekeeping notes, etc. on the main page now instead of just showcasing the newest articles, there’s also a section for some of my personal favorites with a logo inspired by the title screen of Super Mario Bros. 2. I’ll sporadically be swapping out some of my old favorite articles from yesteryear there. Also, if you haven’t done so already, check out the monthly logo for September, barrowing a visual from the new film Inglourious Basterds.

I should have a couple new videos posted in the following weeks, including the debut of the series RtW TNT: Thursday Night Takeout focusing on Chinese restaurants. I’m not going to make any promises I can’t guarantee I’ll keep, but I will say that I’d like to write more regularly, there’s plenty of stuff I’d like to comment on, but given its my senior year of college I’ll just say that for now I’ll try to contribute when I can.

That leads me to my last tidbit, starting on October 1st, Brian’s Daily Picture will be returning with ongoing, daily updates! It’s long been one of the most beloved sections on the site but has been neglected largely since its last update on Christmas in 2007. I’ve got a decent amount of material already, but aim to take a lot of photographs throughout the month, so we’ll have plenty of eye candy for your perusal and enjoyment to cap off the awesome year that has been 2009!

Back in June of 2001, my then girlfriend Molly, friends Steve and Didge, and I set off on a road trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. I shot a home video of our journey, its highs and lows, but until now the cassette has collected dust dormant in the recesses of a closet. Part of the joy in running my own website all these years has been the ability to immortalize stuff, even trivia things, from my life or that I’ve discovered, and being able to share them with the world. Watching this old video again, its often excruciatingly juvenile and embarrassing, a lot has changed in the last eight years, but it does remind me of a simpler time, when freedom was more abundant, and now I’m presenting it for the first time not just amongst a once tight-knit group of friends but to anyone with Internet access and nothing better to do:

Gatlinburg, TN Roadtrip 2001

Gatlinburg, TN Roadtrip 2001

Hey everyone! It’s become a yearly tradition that around my birthday (July 16th) I re-post one of my all-time favorite Review the World articles titled “25 Years of Me”. It’s a journey through pictures and memories of the first chunk of my life. I’ve got a lot positive feedback on it in years previously, and, have always been the nostalgic type so it’s fun for me to revisit, too:

25 Years of Me

This year to celebrate Amanda is taking me to the Cincinnati Zoo and dinner. It's going to be an awesome day. Thanks for reading! Be well.

Hey everyone! How’s your summer? Like a fresh orange, I’ve been trying to squeeze every last drop of enjoyment out of mine. Below is a two-part road trip adventure video I co-starred in with my friend Paul shot earlier today, enjoy!:

<lj-embed id="31" />
In the boys’ third road adventure they end up in Lawrenceburg, Indiana! Watch as they walk historic streets, discover a floating restaurant on a river, search for Gremlins, and more!

<lj-embed id="32" />
In the second-half of the boys’ third road adventure they end up in the creepiest antique store ever! Watch as they explore it and even dare to enter a shocking restricted area. From there, it’s back on the road, with stops for caffeine, creeks, and a disappearing sandlot baseball field.

More videos and randomness at our official site:
http://www.reviewtheworld.com/

Thanks for watching!
Hey everyone! I hope your weekend was swell. I’m pleased, if all goes well, this upcoming week will be my final encounter (in an academic setting) with math, easily my worst subject, so keep me in mind, say a prayer, wish me luck, make a sacrifice, or whatever your individual religious preferences designates. Here’s an awesome, two-part special of my new, ongoing series Go! Road Trip:

On their second, spontaneous road trip adventure, Brian, joined by Paul and his girlfriend Beth, meet a kindred spirit in a search for authentic BBQ, run directly into a gay pride parade, and explore one of the most fun and cool, yet simultaneously bizarre and creepy toy stores in the universe.
<lj-embed id="29" />

In the second-half of their impromptu road trip, Brian, Paul, and Beth get lunch at Habits Café, home of famous “potato rags”, as well as a bevy of bizarre burgers, like the Godzilla, ostrich, and more! Next the gang travels to an old-fashioned candy store. And to conclude the trip, a visit to The Fresh Market, where they’ll encounter all sorts of interesting edibles, interview an employee, and do some on-spot reviews!
<lj-embed id="30" />
More videos and misc. random acts of happiness:
http://www.reviewtheworld.com/
