Hey everybody! I’ve got some pretty exciting news. The day has arrived. The inaugural episode of my new, weekly YouTube show RTW TV: Weekly Round Up is now online! On the show’s debut we tackle and review TGI Fridays, a Mr. Potato Head Color & Activity book, Color Club markers, Jessie Robertson’s bacon sandwich, and Flub’s Glacier, which is a very odd and endearing dessert concoction.

I’m really happy to get this project up and running and I look forward to the weeks to come and future episodes. Everyone that worked on this initial one are all happy how it turned out. We’ll learn as we go, that’s for sure; one minor issue in this episode is ceiling fan noise during one of the skits, but we’ll know better next time. I’ve got so much stuff I want to feature on the show. Next month there will definitely by some Halloween-inspired reviews so that’ll be a lot of fun.

Typically the idea is to post new episodes late on Saturday nights, but this one went up early because I’ve got to work this evening and I’m heading straight from there to a sports bar to watch UFC 88: Breakthrough.

Today we’re having digital cable installed. I’m excited to be able to finally watch stuff in HD. Amanda and I are looking forward to getting caught up on all of our favorite shows like Bizarre Foods, Ghost Hunters, and Alton Brown’s new show Feasting on Waves debuting tomorrow. I’m also stoked to start watching NBA games in high-def starting in late-October.

We really hope you enjoy the first episode! Have a great weekend. I’d love to hear your comments either here or on the YouTube video page itself. Be well!

Good times!

Monteland has lost sight, I think, of this Capture-The-Minutiae approach to journaling.

I'd like to unapologetically steal the idea of a roving video journal, but now that my camera has died, your intellectual property is safe.

Incidentally, apparently Jakks will lose the WWE license in a year or two, at which point they'll start producing TNA figures.

I'd have to call it simply MonTV.

...but then, that sounds like a reggae network.

This is so awesome!

First of all, the minute of eating-footage made me hungry. I agree about Fridays. For a tchotchky-laden chain grill, it's pretty good stuff.

Seemingly, Jakks Pacific also makes dog food and

I'm a new Potato Head convert (I got an Indiana Jones tater and a Darth Vader tater), and initially it seemed like a Potato Head coloring book defeats the "stick it anywhere" point of the dolls. However--genius move--they let you design your own taters in the book. Awesome!

I love how you go through your week just popping some quick reviews. I loved the premiere and I'm pumped for future episodes.

I hate mayo, so it seems like we'll have to disagree with the sandwich. However, bacon on bread sounds wonderful on its own.

I also like your new cohost for these weekly wrap-ups. I can see Review the World becoming an entire family experience, with little Brian Jr. and Amanda Jr. and a whole Von Trapp-esque school of soda-guzzling youngsters ready to rate episodes of Ninja Turtles on DVD.

I hereby grade this feature an A+. Thanks, sir.
